About Us, Our History ...

Home of Osiris Hounds
We are Kathryn Carella &
Brittany Carella, breeders of Pharaoh Hounds in Canada.
Members of the Canadian Kennel Club, Pharaoh Hound Club of America,
Dandie Dinmont Terrier Club of Canada & the Barrie Kennel Club. All
of our dogs are active in conformation shows and/or performance
events.

Brittany & Brodie, August 2009
Here's how it all started
In 1993 we purchased our
first show dog, a Dandie Dinmont Terrier
bred by Ms. Mike Macbeth. CH. Glahms Queen Anne’s Lace, known as
‘Hailey’ captured our hearts of this wonderful breed. CH. Glahms
Odepus Rex, ‘Rex’ followed along with our first home bred litter.
When Brittany started showing in Junior Handling in 2004, it
was obvious she needed a breed that was low coat maintenance. She
searched a variety of breeds, but our family fell in love with the
Pharaoh Hound. We were fortunate enough to inquire about a puppy
from respected breeder, Lori Evans of XO dogs.
‘Dulcie’, Ch. Xo’s Pure Energy came to us in March 2005. As a
puppy she was very successful in the show ring, winning 13 Best
Puppy In Groups and a Group 4th all under a year old. ‘Dulcie’
quickly became Canada’s Number 1 Pharaoh Hound for 2006.
‘Dulcie’ too had captured our hearts of this wonderful breed.
In May 2006, we had imported another Pharaoh Hound from Lori
Evans. Am/Can Ch. Xo’s Invincible ‘Brodie’ was a dream come true.
Our first home bred litter of Pharaoh Hounds whelped on July
22, 2007. We look forward to a bright future with our Pharaoh Hounds.
